The Roche House is one of the largest timber frames we have designed. The house and the walkout basement comprise over 6,000 square feet of living space. Almost 90% of the timber for the frame came from the building site. The posts and main girts are 10 x 10 and larger white pine. The house has the feeling of a country lodge.

The design takes advantage of a southern exposure and pond view. The passive solardesign allows this very large house to be heated with one woodstove in the winter.
